You can enquire about support for someone as a family member, friend, professional or community organisation.
Talk with the person first
Before sharing their personal information, explain why you would like to contact Hands Up and ask for their consent. People can also contact us directly themselves.
Make an initial enquiry
Use our short form or email us with your own contact details to start a conversation. Select “My child” or “Someone else” as appropriate. Avoid including another person’s name or private information at this stage. We will discuss referral permission and any further consent with you.
Please begin with a general enquiry. Avoid sending sensitive records or detailed personal histories until we have discussed what information is needed and how to share it.
What happens next
We will discuss the enquiry with you and whether our free practical support and advocacy may be suitable. A referral does not guarantee that we can take on the work.
